Acclaimed Ethiopian-Israeli chef, restaurateur, and Instagram influencer, Beejhy will present her life story and new cookbook Gursha: Timeless Recipes for Modern Kitchens, from Ethiopia, Israel, Harlem, and Beyond. In Gursha, the celebrated owner of Harlem’s Tsion Café shares more than one hundred accessible and healthy recipes. While recounting her history and traditions through food, Beejhy Barhany delivers a tale of the resilience and generosity of her Beta Israel family, and a joyous celebration of Ethiopian Jewish cuisine.
