Now in its eighth year, T.G.I.S. (Thank God It’s Shabbat) is a beautiful musical welcome to Shabbat, touching hearts and souls, featuring Hazzan David Propis and the T.G.I.S. Players. Join us in person under the tent on the William Saulson Pavilion at CSZ, or participate on Zoom.

Together, we will celebrate Green Shabbat with Hazon Detroit and more than a dozen community partners! On Friday, August 13, 2021, CSZ, Hazon and  partnering synagogues and Jewish organizations from across Metro Detroit will spend Shabbat engaged in environmentally-friendly practices, learning about Jewish connections to the earth, advocating on behalf of the climate, and committing to help ensure a healthier and more sustainable planet for all. With this shared vision in mind, the Metro Detroit Jewish community affirms its role as a leader in the pursuit of "going green."

Green Shabbat is hosted by Rebecca Starr, Meredith Dahlen, Rhonda Rich and Linda Cohen.
