10:00 AM - 11:00 AMFranklin Cider Mill, 7450 Franklin Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301Young Families, join CSZ for Family Tashlich at the Franklin Cider Mill! All Families with children ages 0-6 years, come out to the Franklin Cider Mill for our annual Family Tashlich event! Tashlich, or in Hebrew, “casting off,” is the Jewish ceremony performed for the holiday of Rosh Hashanah. During this ceremony, Jewish people symbolically cast off the sins of the previous year by tossing pebbles or breadcrumbs into flowing water. Our tradition is to toss out duck food, so we can feed the ducks and participate in this yearly tradition at the same time. We’ll meet at the Franklin Cider Mill for a morning of outdoor Jewish learning and fun. Duck food is free to all children. There is no cost to attend. You don’t need to be a member of CSZ to attend!
