Zalman Spivack is a tour guide and educator in Israel who has led many American Jewish tours around Israel including tours with American Friends of Hebrew University. Since October 7, 2023, his life has taken a new turn. On that day, he was called to reserves in the IDF and he has since served in the army for 220 days. He is a father of four with kids ranging from ages 10-18. His experiences reflect those of many Israelis today. Throughout this challenging period, he has had the privilege and honor of accompanying supporters and visitors from abroad who have come to show solidarity with Israel. He is currently traveling in the U.S. sharing his personal story and perspective which in turn reflects the collective experience of all Israelis during this time period in Israel.
