Join us in conversation with Dr. Sharon Shalom, born Zaude Tesfay in Ethiopia in 1973, who made Aliyah to Israel by himself at the age of nine. Dr. Shalom received rabbinic ordination from Yeshivat Har Etzion and a PhD in Jewish philosophy from Bar-Ilan University, and serves as a leader and lecturer for the Ethiopian community and beyond. Dr. Shalom’s appearance is made possible by the Israel and Overseas Department of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.
